Present since the company’s inception in 2021, Haïssam, visionary and committed, plays a central role at APEO as Chief Scientific Officer (CSO).

His responsibilities at APEO include managing research projects, team leadership and overseeing scientific publications. He also contributes to patent development and scientific monitoring.

Having started his career in 1991, he develops biocontrol methods based on microorganisms and plant extracts to protect plants against pathogens, including weeds. He has participated in or coordinated more than 80 research projects in Belgium and internationally, published over 700 scientific productions, and is co-inventor on numerous patents.
